Built for the storm

Scripture

Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble.

Devotional Reading

Storms find all of us. Sometimes they come through unexpected news. Sometimes they come through family tension or financial pressure. Sometimes they arrive through the silent weight of responsibility. Storms do not wait until we feel ready. They show up and reveal what we lean on.

In the conversation from this episode, one truth stands out clearly. You do not have to stay dry to be covered. God does not promise you a life without rain. He promises you a shelter within it. When Marcelto spoke about being crafted to get wet, it reminded us that leadership is not about avoiding discomfort. It is about learning to carry purpose while trusting the One who covers you.

Every storm becomes a place where God teaches you something new about yourself. The storm shows you your strength. It reveals your capacity. It reveals the places where you still need His wisdom. It deepens your maturity. And it reminds you that God did not ask you to walk through life alone. He is the shelter. He is the covering. He is the anchor.

In partnership, whether in marriage, family, ministry, or community, storms also reveal the importance of support. When one person is tired, the other can lift. When one feels doubt, the other can remind them of the promise. When one forgets the umbrella, the other reaches for theirs. This is the beauty of being connected to people who walk with God. You are not facing the rain by yourself.

And even when you feel the weight of questions or self doubt, God reminds you that He created you with purpose. You are built for the storm because He stands with you in it. He strengthens what you cannot. He covers what you cannot reach. And He brings peace even when the clouds are heavy.

Let this devotional remind you that storms do not weaken your call. They prepare you to stand firm in it.
